I was introduced to Gaynor on the day she became a member at the gym in the hope that she would start making the necessary changes in her life after having her 6th child. We began talking at the front desk about why she had joined and so her journey began….
Gaynor is 36 and a stay-at-home mum who had not been to the gym for many years. She weighed over 16st and has lost confidence in herself.
With six children at home she led a busy life and was struggling to find time for herself to make the changes necessary to start her weight loss journey.
In order to ensure I developed an appropriate program for Gaynor we discussed her main goals, which were to lose as much weight as possible and build muscle whilst improving her diet and water consumption. Gaynor had a short-term goal of being able to complete a 5k run.
Our first step was to establish a relationship with strong communication to ensure Gaynor had the support and motivation needed to achieve her fitness goals.
We undertook a detailed assessment of Gaynor’s fitness, including postural analysis, to ascertain her current level of fitness and create a tailored exercise and nutrition program. A monthly exercise plan was devised and her diet was monitored using a food diary.
Gaynor’s exercise program combined a mix of cardio, metabolic resistance training, and strength training to help her lose weight, gain aerobic capacity and strength.
After 6 months of hard training with great commitment Gaynor has now achieved all of her goals. Her photo’s speak for themselves – 6st lighter, looking and feeling like a totally new person she has dropped a few dress sizes and lost plenty of inches.
Gaynor continues to work hard and has now set herself new goals which I am confident she will achieve.
